UFC 238 Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Moraes Fight Pick & Preview

The UFC slapped the fans in the face with UFC 237!  That main event wasn't even close to being worth PPV money.  So much so that for the first time since Chingasos MMA has been doing these previews, we didn't even bother with UFC 237.  But, the UFC is back with a real PPV! The main event at UFC 238 will feature the man that has beat two fighters that have been in the discussion for best pound for pound fighters of all time, Demetrious  Johnson and T.J Dillashaw.  And, TJ Dillashaw was roided up at the time he got knocked out!  Yes, Henry Cejudo is the real deal and if he can get by Marlon Moraes at UFC 238, he will undoubtedly be considered by many, the GOAT! Let's take a closer look at these two fighters, and then I'll make the official Chingasos MMA fight pick for UFC 238: Cejudo vs. Moraes.

Henry Cejudo comes into this title fight with an overall MMA record of 14-2.  Both those smudges on his record came in 2016 when it seemed like his stand up still needed sharpening.  Since then, that stand up has been taken care of an is now razor blade sharp.

Henry Cejudo has a gold medal in wrestling.  That wrestling got him to the show, but with the enhancement of his stand up skills, he now has the full package and is a tough match up for anyone, anywhere!

Marlon Moraes is coming into UFC 238 with an overall MMA record of 22-5-1.  His last loss was a split decision in 2017.  The next loss before that was way back in 2011.  Moraes is 4-0 since that 2017 loss with 2 KO/TKO's and a submission.  He's on fire lately and at 135 lbs will be a tough fight for Cejudo who is coming up from 125 lbs.

Moraes is the bigger fighter, he has KO power and is on a roll.  But, high level wrestling has reigned supreme in the UFC.  Even when the rules favor the stand up game.  With that being said, Cejudo was the best wrestling in the division.  That gold medal is all the proof anyone needs, but just in case, remember how he was rag-dolling the man Joe Rogan called the best pound for pound fighter in MMA, Demetrious Johnson!

Look for this fight to start slow, as neither fighter will want to risk too much.  As the fight progresses, Cejudo will mix wrestling and stand up in a way Moraes hasn't seen yet.  That will be the difference in the fight.  Cejudo will take another belt, and many will consider him the GOAT!
